Location
Amalfi is located in the middle of the Amalfi Coast, the most charming coast line in Southern Italy. The nearest restaurant is about 500 meters from the apartment and so is the nearest beach along the road towards Amalfi, down approximately 400 steps to the famous little bay of Duoglio. Alternatively one can go to the beach in Amalfi, where you will be able to find all amenities and entertainments, such as shops, banks, post office, bars and restaurants, etc... The sea is beautiful, and you will also find beach facilities, such as cafès/bars and restaurants.
From the docks in Amalfi you can also board ferries and hydrofoils to Positano, Capri, Salerno, Sorrento and Naples, as well as go on mini-cruises around this magnificent coastline. You must indeed take a tour of the coast from the sea! If you are fond of archaeology, Pompeii, Herculaneum and Paestum are within easy reach, as well, of course, Naples and Salerno.
