The patio in front of the villa has a stone fountain with a pond and is furnished with barbecue, a table, chairs and deck chairs where you can relax and dine alfresco. The house has been decorated with care and love, it has cotto floors and is furnished in a rustic country style, even featuring a few antiques. This charming two bedroom villa of approx. 100 square metres, on two floors, suitable for 6 persons is surrounded by a garden cultivated with the Mediterranean vegetation typical of the Sorrentine Peninsula. This is the ideal place to spend a serene holiday, relaxing into the nature. Guests staying at Villa Olivo may use the swimming pool of a residence only 100 meters away and are entitled to a reduction on the entry tickets.( June – September).
Thanks to its elevated position it offers a pleasant view from one of the bedroom terrace, through the olive trees ( after the harvest ) you can see the sea and the Isle of Capri. This famous island is only a few miles out from Punta Campanella, the point where the Sorrentine Peninsula ends.
All in all the perfect holiday hideaway, away from busy resort life but close enough that you can easily have the best of both throughout the year.
Location
After the bustle and noise of the tourist centres along this coast, the position of Villa Olivo is quiet and peaceful. It is 3 kilometres from the little town of Massa Lubrense where you can find the nearest banks and post office. The bus stop is only 200 m away and the centre of the little hamlet of Monticchio is a mere 500 m. away with restaurants, chemist, shops, and other amenities.
The larger, and well-known town of Sorrento is about 9 kilometres from the villa, and from here there are ferry boats and hydrofoils to Naples, Capri, Ischia, Amalfi and Positano, as well as go on mini-cruises. You must indeed take a tour of the coast from the sea. A car is recommended if you are staying in this villa. However there are frequent and regular SITA bus service, down to Sorrento as well as to Positano and Amalfi.
