Lying hidden amongst the olive groves and vineyards and surrounded by the gentle rising mountains, Villa del Destino is a wonderful countryside seat for those looking for a holiday in which to gather friends and family and enjoy traditional Sicilian living.
Enter the estate through wrought iron security gates and wander amongst the lush and somewhat tropical gardens of palms, lemon trees and fresh mint; blooming with all colours of the rainbow. Nestled amongst this beauty is the swimming pool and terrace area.
However no property in this region of Italy would be complete without the essential traditional outdoor kitchen. Fully equipped for dining al fresco, there is a barbecue, wood oven, gas hob and dining area.

Location
Villa del Destino is enveloped by surrounding countryside offering a peaceful spot to relax and enjoy the Sicilian sunshine.
For those who wish to dine out but don’t wish to venture far, there are two lovely restaurants, one just 100m from Villa del Destino, the other just 1km away.
And those who are looking for a little adventure and wish to explore the local area a little differently, why not do it on horse-back? The owners can organise this upon request.
However, a visit to this region demands a little exploration further afield. The nearest beach of Cornino is 20km away. The nearby towns of Fulgatore (5km) and Ballata (2km) are worth a visit with the main town of Erice 23km away. Once dedicated to the Goddess of Fertility, then the Phoenician Goddess Astarte, later Aphrodite and finally the Roman Goddess Venus, there can be no doubt that this wonderful little town is steeped in history and has many places to visit and experience. Our suggestions would be Chiesa Matrice, Castello di Venere and the Towers of Balio. However being over 740m above sea level, Erice offers of course, spectacular views of land and sea.
Exploring this region should also include Trapani, the rocky coves of Scopello, the sandy beach at San Vito and the beautiful nature reserve of Zingaro.
The small collection of islands known as the Egadi Islands, lie just off Trapani’s coastline and two of these islands are just a 30 minute boat trip away, where one can swim, dive, cycle and explore.
But a trip to this region would not be complete without experiencing the capital of Palermo. Layered with history there are almost too many things here to see, the Cathedral and Catacombs of Cappucini sit comfortably next to The Modern Art Gallery and Teatro Massimo, Italy’s largest indoor theatre.
