Upon arriving at the private and secluded Villa Mille Desideri, wrought iron gates open to reveal one of the most magnificent and magical places that nestles high within the hills of Tuscany. Giving way to the most breathtaking of panoramas in this entire region and where only the sound of birdsong can be heard, the sweeping driveway leads through the Tuscan landscape of olive and Cypress trees to this luxurious stone built 17th Century idyll.
And luxury here is used in every sense of the word. Visually... this large family home has been restored with all the Italian passion, love and care from her extremely proud owners who have retained all her original character and charm yet have introduced all the luxury of modern life and convenience. Quality oozes from every beam, stone, fitment, cushion .... with attention to detail second to none. The pastel shades and beautiful and considerate interior design combined with the beamed ceilings and exposed stone-clad walls creates a truly calming and cosy Italian retreat. Everything has been considered to ensure all guests enjoy a warm and comfortable stay.
Each bedroom has been individually designed with a keen eye for colour and comfort, insect screens are fitted to all guest rooms and there are some lovely guest treats to be found throughout.
Surrounded by over 450 olive trees, Villa Mille Desideri produces its own olive oil and other delicious local produce available to the locals and guests alike to enjoy and experience true Italian living.
Enjoying the local produce is high on the list of activities here at Desideri. At first glance you would be forgiven for thinking there was another small villa in the grounds, however this is your very own BBQ and pizza oven which can be enjoyed under the gazebo where the entire family can dine al fresco and soak up the truly magical surroundings.

Sara offers breakfast, lunch and dinner all with fresh and home-grown produce, a pizza night where guests are taught how to create the perfect Italian pizza and are always on hand as a great source of local information and advice.

Location
Villa Mille Desideri is ideally positioned to visit both Tuscany and Umbria, Perugia being closer than Siena and Florence.
Arezzo is approximately 25km from Villa Mille Desideri and with its turbulent and significant history is one of the most important cities of the Etruscan federation. It was the setting for Roberto Benigni’s La Vita e Bella (Life is Beautiful) and hosts a huge 500 exhibitor antique fair in Piazza Grande on the 1st weekend of every month.
Home to some of the most significant buildings and art houses, the 12th Century Santa Maria della Pieve is one of the most original examples of Romanesque architecture. The Duomo is also one of the greatest gothic monuments in Tuscany and houses highly valuable works of art. The San Francesco with its unique great truss-roofed nave is regarded as one of the most majestic examples of gothic monastic architecture in Tuscany. Its stunning frescoes depict the Legend of the True Cross regarded as one of the finest expressions of ideal aesthetics of the first renaissance.
Villa Mille Desideri is in an ideal spot for those who want to truly appreciate the Tuscan landscape that lies beyond and as far as the eye can see. Yet it is also within easy reach of the art cities of Florence, Siena and Pisa.
