General

The charming estate of La Montanina is rimmed by wooded hills that surround it like a garden.  Accessed by a steep, one kilometre unmade road* and immersed in beautiful countryside, the outlook is phenomenal.  Here are three, detached cottages of typical, warm, fawn stone which have been well restored. Each has its own furnished terrace for ’al fresco’ dining and guests to these houses share the swimming pool which has been idyllically positioned to share the vista.  Although the houses have central heating, each has a large open fireplace welcoming early and late season visitors.  A laundry room on site is available for guests’ use.  A large communal sitting room with satelite TV is available for all guests. 

Location

Castiglion Fiorentino is 8kms distant.  Within its walls it has retained a medieval street plan and a relaxed atmosphere.  Centred midway between the historic towns of Arezzo and Cortona, Lake Trasimeno is within sensible driving distance. The main feature in the green, undulating countryside are the numerous, prosperous farms and the prized cattle breed called Chianina, named after the valley below.

One double bedded room

One single bedded room

Shower room with WC, etc.

Swimming pool open between 15th May and 30th September (weather permitting). 

*We advise against the use of very low suspension or long wheel-based cars.
