Magnificent views stretching far and wide across the heart of Chianti Classico country. At an amazing 640m above sea level it is simply magical. In the distance the beautiful hilltop town of Panzano perches precariously whilst below is the historic market town of Greve.

Wake to the sound of bird song in this most cosy Italian retreat with all you need for a relaxing stay away from the rest of the world. Later dine al fresco under the cool shade of the pergalato with its overhanging vines and cool breeze. And an uneven winding pathway (not suitable for those with walking disabilities) leading down to the secluded private swimming pool. To lie on your lounger with the view of the Tuscan countryside is a peaceful and tranquil way to fill your days.

Location
Casa delle Fate is located in an unrivalled spot for those who want to truly appreciate the Tuscan landscape, relax and unwind and be at one with nature. Yet it is also within easy reach of the art cities of Florence, Siena and Pisa. There are also endless things to see and do nearby.
Greve right in the heart of the Chianti Classico wine zone is home to of course, the largest wine fair in Chianti and is held every September. Wine tours and tasting experiences sweep as far as the eye can see. The landscapes surrounding Greve offer some quite literally breathtaking hikes through the Monte San Michele Nature Park, but also pleasant strolls for those a little less adventurous! And for those who appreciate the historic artefacts this region has to offer, the church of Santa Croce houses some of the most magnificent paintings from the school of the Fra Angelico. Greve also houses the San Francesco Museum of Sacred Art. Originally built in the 16th Century and completed later in 1866, it has a collection of valuable ecclesiastical artefacts and artwork.
Although the feeling maybe that of remoteness, the quaint village of Lamole with a bar, restaurant and grocery store for all your essentials is just a mere 2km (approx) from Casa delle Fate. Lamole is known for its weekly concerts of classical music from July to September, definitely worth a visit.
You can see across to Panzano from Casa delle Fate, a beautiful hilltop town with a popular Sunday market. The castle with its courtyard and grounds open to the public stands exactly halfway between Florence and Siena - the Greve valley and the Pesa valley.
Due to its remote location and access roads we would advise against the use of very low suspension or long wheel based cars when driving to Casa delle Fate.
