General
Around Panzano are some of the Chianti’s most ecstatic views and Capannina dei Ramoli shares the most expansive of them. Built into a hillside above the road known as the Chianti Classico wine route (hence the traffic noise), it is on two levels each with a terrace overhanging the panorama that stretches over Greve in Chianti towards Florence.
The house is well furnished and has had good fittings installed. A kidney shaped swimming pool overlooks the surrounding countryside.
Panzano’s main square is a walkable 400 metres away but caution is advised since there is no pavement and the road is not illuminated. However, hilltop Panzano has all the essential shopping, the famous Cecchini butcher, a Sunday market and a number of good restaurants.
Location
A bus service runs to Florence and takes just over an hour. This route goes via Greve in Chianti, which has a host of shops and a supermarket. There is also a bus service to Radda in Chianti and from there to Siena, making this a good site for those not wishing to have a car.
