Cottage Il Gelso is a delightful semi-detached, and renovated, house in the heart of Tuscany. Not only that, it is very reasonably priced, and features a lovely covered eating/relaxing area with a view over patchwork hills to die for. The friendly owner lives in a separate house nearby. While the cottage does not have its own pool, there is a good public swimming pool set back right across the road, so even a refreshing dip couldn’t be nearer. The car can be parked up and left, since, just outside the electric gates, there is a bus stop with frequent cheap services into nearby San Gimignano, just two kilometres* away. All essential shops, banks and chemists can be found here of course. Also, there is a bar and restaurant within walking distance.

Location

The entrance is private via electric gates that lead to off-road parking and a well maintained garden that is fenced in, illuminated, and sports that lovely covered area with the view - just ideal for long lunches or pre-dinner drinks. The single-storey, air-conditioned, interior is beautifully, and newly, renovated with abundant beamed ceilings and tasteful touches.

One double bedded room with insect screens.

Weekly cleaning (Saturday) included.
