General

The cultivation of vineyards, that produce the red Sagrantino wine of Montefalco, has been going on since pre-Roman times. It is one of the finest examples of Italian winemaking and this agriturismo produces a very fine version of it, hence the name of our property.
There are six apartments here, and we have secured the largest, also the only one with its own spacious covered terrace. A relaxed family atmosphere can be felt here, added to which a very reasonable set of prices, so do book early, especially for the school holidays.

Location

The people of Montefalco, about nine kilometres away, are a cheerful bunch, as they look down over the rest of Umbria from their ’Ringhiera d’Umbria’, a high panoramic balcony that affords views even as far as Assisi and Perugia. Apart from the views, the town’s characteristically narrow lanes, and an important collection of Renaissance frescoes in the church of Saint Francis, are its other attractions.
Montefalco also possesses all essential shops, restaurants, bars, chemists
and banks, though Giano dell’Umbria is the nearest town.  
The on-site owners will prepare delicious simple local meals on an on request basis, payable direct. The shared swimming pool is delightful, it is furnished, measures 12m x 6m and 1.20m to 2.40m depth, and boasts a hydro-massage. Ample parking.
