We recommend you a nice vanilla panna cotta recipe, a light dessert to enjoy after your family weekend meal.
You will need:
Soak the gelatine leaves in a little cold water until they become soft. Separately mix the cream, the milk, the vanilla pod (cut across length, together with the seeds) and 1 heaped tablespoon of sugar into a pan and bring it to a simmer. Remove the vanilla pod (you can throw it away now). Take the pan away from the hob and add the gelatine leaves to it (squeezed out of water). Stir the whole mixture until the gelatine leaves have dissolved. Divide the mixture into 4 separate serving bowls and leave it to cool. After getting to room temperature, place them in the fridge for at least one hour.
For the sauce, place the cherry liqueur, the remainder of the sugar and 175 ml of water into a pan and bring to boil. Reduce the heat and simmer until the sugar has dissolved. Add half of the raspberries to the sauce and blend them in until a smooth sauce is obtained. Pass the sauce through a sieve into a bowl and stir in the remaining fruit.
To serve use your imagination – sprinkle the sauce over each panna cotta, use icing sugar and/or mint leaves to get those extra ‘wow’s around the table.
