July 2016 "...We had a wonderful holiday, thank you. This was enhanced by near-perfect weather. Our hosts (the owners) were very hospitable and struck the right balance of being available when needed but without intruding. The main accommodation being on the first floor took a bit of getting used to, but we soon adapted to this. Considering what we paid for our holiday, we might have expected air conditioning. Instead, we endured some sticky evenings indoors watching Euro 2016 on the telly (our choice, you might say). Also, 4 sun loungers were enough for us but the house does accommodate more people than this. Perhaps Marco has some more hidden away. But even so, there was only one parasol and two would have been welcome. The drain away in the shower in the upstairs bathroom was quite badly blocked. This might have been addressed by now. I suggested Mr Muscle in our comments in the house journal. These are very minor points but I presume you ask for feedback so that tiny improvements can be made. I must repeat - the property, its owners and the overall experience were absolutely first class. And the real star of the show was Rudy the dog - surely the loveliest animal in the whole of Italy! "

July 2015 "...Hi Sarah, We did leave written feedback at the villa and directly spoke with the villa owner on the day of leaving. This was a great experience- the villa exceeded all our expectations and this felt much more like staying in someone’s personal home for 2 weeks rather than renting a holiday villa – house was exceptionally well equipped, including a selection of wine on arrival !!, the whole house was spotless and garden and pool area perfect and secluded. On arrival there was a mini heat wave (41 on one day) so lack of A/C was an issue at night BUT we did know there was no facility for this– we did suggest a fan in each of the bedrooms would be a good addition.. I would happily go back again and would use ‘Cottages to Castles’ as a booking agent but would advise others to avoid the car rental company we used who proved to be absolutely and completely useless at all levels (Sicily by car) "

July 2014 "...Well where should we start! An amazing first stay in Italy altogether. With the amazing peace, pool, bedrooms and even the pets have been delightful. Rudy the dog and the cats were beautiful. We enjoyed late night swims with the pool lights on. Villa Concetta's internet worked incredibly well!"

August 2015 "...We had a great time in Italy, and thought that the Villa Concetta was wonderful; the owners were very helpful and the villa itself had great facilities (everything you could possibly need and more!). We would like to return to the Lazio Lakes region and indeed to the Villa Concetta, although if we had two families with eight people it may not be big enough. One slight nuisance I suppose was having to have 300 euros in cash as the deposit - this meant taking extra holiday money with us and having to exchange it when we were back in the UK. "

August 2014 "...Our time at Villa Concetta has been superb! We have had a lovely time relaxing by the pool and lounging in the gardens as it's so peaceful. The pool is amazing - so refreshing after a hot day of sunbathing and the disco light function was lots of fun at night. When we arrived we were made to feel very welcome by Marco and his family. The house was immaculate including a well-equipped kitchen and the garden was very well kept. We were very impressed with the villa. "

August 2014 "...A lovely villa - relaxing location. The fruit picking was fun and superb tasting fruit at the end of it! Lake Vico is lovely, warmer to go in than the swimming pool! We loved the Riva Fiorentina restaurant - great to watch the sun go down with a glass of wine. If you are going to Viterbo, visit Il Bagnaccio thermal springs exiting the city on the SS2 and then taking the road to Marta/Capadimonte, they are signposted on the left. Great to see where the Italians go to relax! Thank you for a lovely holiday."

August 2013 "...When we arrived at Villa Concetta Marco and his family welcomed us to their Italian paradise and it was a very apt description. The villa is beautifully presented with an amazing swimming pool and fantastic views across the country side. The location was wonderfully quiet with nearby facilities for everything we wanted. We enjoyed swimming in the lake and visiting Caprarola and other nearby villages and towns. Every time we stay in Lazio we intend to visit Rome but time and laziness mean we never do! Driving up through the mountains revealed a lush, green landscape even in the middle of Summer when rain had been scarce apart from the two spectacular thunderstorms we experienced. Our favourite restaurant in Caprarola was La Salumeria Del Vignola near the top of the high street on your right if you are looking down the street. Run by the lovely Francessca, who speaks perfect English, you are guaranteed a brilliant meal with genuine warmth and hospitality. We also had drinks at the bar half way down the hill on the left which is basic but very friendly. Try the Trattoria del Cimino, again slightly further down the street on your right if you want to have the best fillet steak you have ever eaten! Run by four generations of the same family it is very traditional, the fridge looks like it is straight out of the 1950s, and it might be quiet but the food, wine and hospitality was amazing. The charming host sings as he hands out menus and goes about his restaurant. Fabulous! Lastly Marco and his family were a JOY to be with! Marco can speak brilliant French so if your Italian is lacking try that, but Marike, one of his daughters speaks perfect English so communication is never a problem. Marco was always available but without ever being intrusive and was so helpful in sorting out any questions we had. He shared his whole vegetable and fruit gardens with us and we gorged ourselves on his home grown tomatoes. We left with a huge bag of hazel nuts and 10 litres of his home produced olive oil at a very generous price! We can’t wait to come back!"

August 2013 "...Marco, Concetta and family met us in person at the Villa. After a long motorway drive it was stunning in both size and beauty. The space, the rooms, the gardens and the pool were amazing. We spent much of the week in the pool, with fantastic views over the italian countryside. During the week we traveled into Rome for walking tours of the Vatican, Colloseum and the Roman Forum. The Italian trains and food were so cheap compared to the high costs in Swizerland. Best of all were the restaurants on the banks of the nearby lake which gave great food, hospitality and views across the lakes. The lifestyle the italians enjoy in this region is envious. The villa had two cats and a litter of month old kittens that kept the girls enchanted all week. Marco and Concetta were fantastic hosts, with gifts of a homemade tart, vegetables and nuts from the villa gardens."

June 2012 "...Our experience using Cottages to Castles was excellent. We were fully informed and briefed from the administration side of booking the villa in Italy to being greeted on arrival at the location. Any contact I have made to the UK office or to Tony, the Italian Cottages to Castles Rep was excellent. There was always someone to answer my questions. When I had to contact Tony a couple of times in Italy due to late arrivals and departure times, he was most helpful. He always picked up the phone and always dealt with my request immediately. He was a superb rep. especially as language problems made it difficult to communicate accurately with the owners. We are delighted that Cottages to Castles was just as it said on the website. The villa and owners were just as people had reviewed, and it was a positive experience to travel to somewhere that exceeds expectations. All the information we required for our stay was available and it made for a seemless and smooth holiday experience. We would have loved to stay an extra week had time permitted. We will definitely use Cottages to Castles again and have already recommended it to friends. The only downside was the small print asking for a 300 euro deposit on arrival, which is rather a lot money on top of the cost of the holiday, to change in euros, only to be given it back on the last day of the holiday if no breakages etc, therefore having to change it back into pounds and re-banking it. For us it was a lot of money on top of our holiday budget, and wondered if there was any other way of securing a deposit through Cottages to Castles that maybe isn't such a large amount of money, or transferring money electronically through you and then you could liaise with the owners. Apart from that, we had the most enjoyable holiday and look forward to the next! "

August 2011 "...We had a fantastic week at Villa Concetta. Although the photos online are good the house and grounds are even better in reality. The house is finished to a very high standard, the grounds are immaculate and the pool is one of the nicest we have visited. The owners were welcoming and very helpful in suggesting local restaurants and places to visit – and very generously gave us a bag full of fresh produce from their garden. We were very tempted to stay by the pool all week but are very glad we ventured out as the area is very traditional Italian with far fewer tourists than in Tuscany. We are very grateful to all involved for such a wonderful holiday. "

August 2011 "...Villa Concetta is a lovely villa in a superb setting. The setting is idyllic, both for the surrouding countryside, but also because the villa is high enough to take the edge off the highest tempertures. Marco and his family instantly put one at ease. They grow lovely fruit and vegetables, and provide a good supply to the tenants. Marco even let my daughter help with picking vegetables. The villa is very conveniently situated, with quick access to the Autostrada, and within a short drive of the train service to Rome. Rome itself is an easy drive. The Mediterranean beaches are close at hand with an interesting drive through the littoral hills. Whilst we cannot say that we will return to Villa Concetta, we would love to if we had a large enough party to enjoy all that it offers. "

July 2011 "...We had a wonderful week at Villa Concetta. We can honestly say that this was one of the best villas we have ever rented abroad. It was very well equipped with everything we needed in every room. The garden and grounds with the swimming pool was fantastic - very relaxing and peaceful and set in the most wonderful surroundings. The owners were there to greet us and made us feel very welcome. We did get a bit lost finding the villa. When we turned off into the road at the side of the restaurant it said "follow this country road and then turn left". The "country road" was only about 5 yards long and then you immediately turn left but we carried on the country road to the right but realised we were on the wrong road when there was no left turn. We all had a marvellous time in a beautiful part of Italy. Thank you. "

August 2010 "...We had a wonderful, very relaxing two weeks here at Villa Concetta and are very sorry to say goodbye to this little piece of paradise. The villa and gardens are beautiful and very well equipped. Marco and his family have been very welcoming. We particularly enjoyed the fresh figs and tomatoes, thank you. The wine is great too. We have spent many happy hours by the pool. We would also recommend - Lago di Vico. The train from Capranica to Rome takes about one and a quater hours. The Farnese Palace is well worth a visit and is only a few minutes up the road. The beach on the coast at Santa Severa is lovely. Thank you Marco, Concetta and your family. We hope to be back one day. Also thank you for the pastries this morning too - a lovely touch."
The Alexander Family
July 2010 "...We have enjoyed a fabulous fortnight at Villa Concetta which is perfect for a relaxing family holiday. We found the house to be comfortable and well equipped. Marco and Concetta are excellant hosts, keeping everything in good order whilst respecting the privacy of their guests. The small gifts of locally grown produce (figs, tomatoes, cucumbers etc) are a very nice touch. We would welcome the addition of parasols around the pool and furniture on the front terrace. Otherwise the standard of the existing furnishings is good."
The Tilley Family
April 2010 "...We all had a wonderful time at Villa Concetta. Than you to Concetta, Marco and family for making the stay so enjoyable. The villa is delightful, peaceful and relacing and the local villages are both interesting and beautiful. We all appreciated the nuts, oil, fruit, pastries and wine very much. Thank you once again."
Martin, Yvonnne, Katie and Izzy
"...The villa, gardens and pool are beautiful. Marco, Concetta and family are equally kind and gracious hosts who respected our privacy yet were on hand for any problems as well as with little gifts of fresh vegetables and even cream cakes. Useful information is that the restaurants do not open until 8pm and the siesta takes place between 1pm - 4pm. We had lovely meals at La Corte Dei Prefetti di Vico in Roncliglione and found the local Co-Op to have most things. It has been a hugely relaxing two weeks in quite stunning surroundings. Thank you Marco, Concetta nd the girls for allowing us to share your 'little bit of paradise in Italy'. We are truly grateful for everything."

July 2008 "...“We have had a fantastic week staying at Villa Concetta. Marco and his family have been great hosts. We were given a guided tour of the gardens by Marco and our children picked their own tomatoes and fruit- great fun! The pool, the views and the privacy made Villa Concetta a special place- I hope you enjoy it as much as we have. If you are planning to visit Rome we found driving very easy- we just headed for Parksi at Villa Borghese and walked to all the major sites, it just took an hour door to door. We have rented in different places over the past years, but Marco and his family really made an extra special holiday for us.” "
Clarke Family
August 2008 "...We have had many villa holidays but the standard of this villa together with the hospitality of Marco were special. Ronciglione is a nice place for a visit but we didn’t venture further afield. John"

"...It was great to be back at Villa Concetta this year. We have enjoyed great times at the pool, visited Lake Vico and had a lot of fun on the pedale boats. Our trip to Rome on the train was very good, but hotter than it had been in previous visits. Another great holiday."
John, Elaine, Eve, Leila, Leo and Joel.
"...Another fantastic two weeks of pure relaxation. It is such a pity to have to go home. We enjoyed the pool, gardens and isolation/peace and quiet. Thank you for looking after us so well again and a big thank you for the cream cakes - they were delicious. Thank you for a lovely holiday."
Julia, Peter, Eleanor and Benjamin.
June 2008 "...We have just had the most wonderful relaxing week in Villa Concetta. Marco and his family have been so welcoming and would have done anything to make our stay more enjoyable. Concetta had made us a beautiful cake – she is a great cook! We would deffinatley come again to stay and we are sad to leave. We are sure you will enjoy your holiday as much as we have. "
McPartland Family
"...We had a fantastic time enjoying the beautiful villa, gardens and pool. We visited the lake and Viterbo but otherwise just enjoyed relaxing here. Thank you very much Marco and family."
Sarah, Rich, Emily and Matt.
"...It has been a real pleasure to stay at Villa Concetta for this past week. The main attraction for us is the isolation and seclusion - the peace and quiet. We really enjoyed the facilities of the villa especially the fantastic pool, the spacious garden with beautiful geraniums. We have eaten in most of the time and found the upstairs kitchen well equipped. We loved the view and the power shower in the upstairs bathroom. We visited Rome and followed the previous quests decision to park at Villa Borghese - north of the city centre - which is an ideal location and starting point for seeing the Spanish steps, designer shops and a little further away the Trevi fountain. It costs Euro 10 for approximately 5 hours."

August 2008 "...Marco Concetta e la famiglia, La ringrazio per la condivisione del tuo pezzo di paradise con noi.( Thank you for sharing your piece of paradise with us). We have had a fantastic two weeks, time seems to have stood still and it has been the perfect holiday. None of us wish to return home. We have spent many happy hours in the pool or just enjoying the glorious weather. It has been so wonderful here that we have rarely bothered to travel further than Vitebro or Caporola, except to Roma of course. We would recommend catching the train from Capranica/Sturi station which will take you into the heart of Roma- thank you Marco for that recommendation. The internet has been brilliant especially for accessing train timetables and translating! Marco and his family have been very welcoming and the freshly picked tomatoes and fruit absolutely delicious. Marco has made our stay very special and we are deffinatly coming back. Once again Marco, Concetta and family-La ringrazio per un tempo meraviglioso.( I hope the Italian is ok!) Best wishes, Julia Peter Eleanor and Benjamin."
