June 2012 "...Casale Olicchia is all that the brochure stated - clean, comfortable, has excellent facilities, is well furnished and in a beautiful setting. It had plenty of space for our family of 7 - My husband and I (grandparents), my son and his wife & 3 children aged 15 years, 6 years and 7 months. We all loved it and would certainly return. On arrival in the area, we used the map to locate the property but we were unsure that we had found the correct property as there was no-one there to greet us and there was no name on the property. We found some keys in the lock on the gates but were reluctant to enter the house in case we were trespassing! We rang Tony Lawson, your local agent and within minutes, he had phoned the owner and was able to give us directions. The caretaker turned up an hour later but he had no English at all and we had little Italian and we were hoping that we would not need to contact him by phone as any stage! Alas, we did! 2 days later, the fridge-freezer packed up and the property ran out of gas, thus we had a lot of food not properly chilled, no hot water for washing and we were unable to cook. The latter was particularly a problem as we need to sterilise baby equipment. However, once again, Tony came yo our aid by contacting the owner who had both problems solved within 24 hours. The owner was clearly concerned and contacted us several time to explain was happening and to ensure that the issues were solved. Fortunately, the rest of the week was marvellous and the problems soon forgotten. We were well compensated when our deposit was returned by the caretaker in full, in spite of the fact that we had ordered a 'welcome pack' and additional food for our first evening as the shops were closed due to it being a national holiday. Please thank the owner for this on our behalf. The problems encountered took little away from our overall enjoyment of our week in Casale Olicchia and we are still talking about it how much we miss it! Annie Yandell"

June 2011 "...We had a lovely holiday in Italy. We have travelled to this part of italy before and adore this region. We loved Casale Olicchia it was just our type of house and found everything clean and welcoming. All the different seating areas outside gave us chance to escape from one another at times, the pool could have been a bit bigger, but the water treatment made swimming superb. I cannot understand why the owner can't get a kettle and there were NO wine glasses!! We definitely want to come back for a longer visit -I did look on the booking form but there was no information for 2012. Best wishes Ros and Andrew Maltby "

August 2010 "...We arrived back in the UK yesterday and were thoroughly pleased with your service and our stay at Casale Olicchia. The villa was exactly as described and the local staff very friendly and helpful. They couldn't do enough to help. The setting was beautiful and our only regret was that we had not been able to rent it out for the following week as well. Italy as always was difficult to leave."
July 2002 "...A delightful two weeks in the most beautiful place. Ristorante Farfense - wonderful welcome, excellent food - highly reccomended. Thank you for allowing us to spend our holiday here at 'Casale Ollichia' Ottimo! Ci siamo divertiti! Grazie! Judith, Roger, Kathryn and Ben Carder."

July 2008 "...This is such a beautiful part of Italy. Relatively untouched by the tourist industry, as a result, everything is very reasonable priced. We have been touched by how kind everyone is , how willing to help us out with our very rudimentary grasp of Italian. Excellent food to be enjoyed at 'Farfeuse' in Santa Vittoria and 'Le Logge' in Smerillo. There is a good Conad supermarket in Commanza but the one in Santa Vittoria is fine for most stuff. The Roman Cisterns in fermo is well worth a look - a guided tour is available from the little office next door to the Tourist Info. Centre. The caves is Fracassi are stunning - however, Aquasanta terme was a bit dissapointing as the thermal spring was closed but there are walks you can do if you wanted to. If you like the beach, then Porto St Giorgio is lovely (avoid weekends). We hope you enjoy your stay as much as we have. Grazie Mille John, Angela, Michael, Izzy and James Raker"

August 2010 "...Probably the best Villa we have been to yet. Suited us down to the ground with its homely but contemporary rural style. Lovely simple pool and lots of different places to sit and relax, on many sides of the house. Lovely grounds. Our Italian friend was particularly delighted to discover he was staying in the holiday home of a famous Italian civil servant. Only improvements would be a kettle for us English, and access to all external doors. The welcome Lasagne from Arda was the best ever too! Lovely people in this region. Tony and Mario were particularly helpful in retrieving a mislaid blanket. Thanks for a lovely holiday. "

August 2008 "...We have had a wonderful holiday here in Italy. We have had many holidays in various parts of Italy, and although we love all the regions that we have visited, this is the most beautiful and unspoilt area that we have seen. We have spent alot of time around the pool soaking up the atmosphere surrounding Casale olicchia, and of the many hill top villages we have visited, Sarnano was our favourite with it's many cobbled streets and beautiful buildings to explore. Our holiday here will stay in our memories for a long time to come. As the Grandfather of our party, may I add my praise and appreciation of a lovely farmhouse with it's spectacular views across magnificient country. I have much enjoyed the peace and tranquility of this area and location. Sadly we must go home but we are determined to return. Peter and Juliet Elliot Stephen Turvey and Family"

August 2002 "...This is a perfect setting and a fine house. Our expectant eyes have been opened to a new part of the world which we should continue to discover and re-discover. Too many good things to list but eating out at 'Le Logge in Smerillo is an experience everyone should enjoy! Had a wicked time here in Casale Olicchia'. Setting beautiful, great restaurants, which have made an amazing week. A wonderful place to laze and do nothing or laze and think about doing something! Such food!! A wonderful town with 'real' people. We shall return. Colin, Ann-Louise, Caitlin, Rhodri & Llinois Lewis."
