September 2014 "...we spent 2 wonderfull weeks at Villino San Remigio . It is really a very special place. The garden, the views over the lake are unique. The housekeeper Tiziana was very kind. The only thing to criticize is the kitchen. Here it needs very much improvisation to prepare a dinner for 16! But anyway , I think we will come back to San Remigio . "

August 2014 "...The Villa was beautiful and the location was spectacular, the cleanliness of the villa and the up keep of the grounds were excellent, the gardens in particular where absolutely beautiful. The swimming pool was perfect and maintained very well. We were absolutely delighted with all aspects of it. However, there were some criticisms that were minor and are as follows: 1. Some of the fixtures and fittings were not up to standard particularly with certain shower fittings, door/window fittings etc. 2. There were some problems with not all the electricity sockets working and there seemed to be some power serges. We did have an issue with a telephone charging unit overheating and we had a problem with the freezer which was very old and started to smoke, which was a bit worrying! 3. The kitchen was very small for the size of the villa 4. It would have been nice to have had someone to explain the local area to us within a day or of arriving– explaining all things regarding restaurants, location of supermakets, boats etc., but this is a minor point. We have been going on holiday to Villas around Europe for the last 25 years and this has been the best one we have ever had. Hope this is helpful "

July 2014 "...Villino is in a magnificent position overlooking the whole of lago maggiore with the most beautiful manicured gardens and glorious swimming pool. The house should and could have been perfect but it has been largely ignored and very little improvement has been done to keep pace with the times. All the rooms have wonderful views but bedrooms and bathrooms could do with updating including mattresses and pillows, windows and doors at times don't close. The kitchen is frankly substandard and the appliances might well be dangerous, they are certainly not functioning properly. Fridge oven, hob and dishwasher all not working. We had a stinking freezer in the kitchen that remained during our stay despite making the entire kitchen smell of fish. The cleaning of the property was below par before our arrival. I think it is a great property in a great place , just could do with quite a lot of TLC. "

September 2013 "... Thanking you kindly for letting us stay in your home, to celebrata our marriage. The chapel is old and rich in history. The villa is rustic and beautiful. It has been my dream wedding come true. We are looking forward to returning in the future. "

August 2013 "...Fabulous, romantic villa - reminded me of my Romantic Poets course at Uni. The villa, the grounds, the pool and those views, a great winning combination. Lovely holiday, thank you. "

July 2013 "...We really enjoyed our stay at the villa and would return with a large group. The property (location, gardens, land) itself we found to be stunning and it could not be improved. The house could use some upgrading. Given the historical nature of the house, there are many aspects that would be better not to modernise, such as the furniture and the floors, etc. However, the bathrooms are all a little tired and not of an age that matches the house so as to be overlooked. The kitchen needs the most work. Certainly, our chef was not happy with the size and layout when he was cooking for up to 16 people. It would seem that the area with the cupboards and deep freeze should be converted into a functioning part of the kitchen and the small sink/stove area reconfigured. Overall, I found the villa good value for the money. Some improvements would make it even more valuable. "

July 2013 "...Villino San Remigio was absolutely lovely and we had a terrific week. The house was very well appointed along with the grounds, gardens and pool. We hope to return on another visit to celebrate another birthday in the future. Tizania (care taker) was very pleasant and helpful also. "
