July 2016 "...Thank you for your email and all your help and advise. We had a fantastic time at the villa and hopefully will go back soon again. "

September 2013 "...Sarah, Daniela and Jonathan My group thoroughly enjoyed the Capannina dei Ramoli. We valued the proximity to town. Antonella was very welcoming. The vistas from all angles is amazing. I personally enjoyed sitting by the pool and under the vine-covered patio to have coffee and to read. I was not able to suss out the lighting though for the covered patio or the pool area. The lights seemed to be on a timer of some sort. I might suggest that similar to other holiday accommodations that complimentary travel items be provided such as sample-size shampoos, soaps and other bagno necessities. We thought the value for what we paid was spot on. It is a little challenging to drive in and out but for me, that's part of the charm of it all. "

August 2013 "...Hi Don We had a wonderful time in Italy. Our villa was perfect – very clean and spacious, and the children absolutely loved the pool. The pool was fabulous – very roomy and deep, and great to have this lovely pool area all to ourselves. The views from the villa were also lovely – quintessential Chianti views. Your comments regarding Panzano were completely accurate. It was a lovely village, with some fantastic local restaurants which we really enjoyed. As you mentioned, after a long day sightseeing it is great to be able to go just up the road to the local Panzano restaurants with their fabulous food. One of the many highlights was the wine shop in the village – the owner was a real character with both enormous enthusiasm and knowledge of the local wines. I think the commentary on the villa was accurate in saying that it is not easy to walk from the villa to Panzano at night, as the road is quite busy with blind corners etc, so whilst we walked up to the village during the day it did not feel safe to do so after dark. This was not a problem, as it is a 2 minute drive with lots of easy car parking in the village. Fabulous holiday, and as you predicted I would love to go back and spend more time there. Many thanks for all of your help and advice which we really appreciated. It was great to be able to talk to you before we went, with all of your local knowledge! I would definitely book through your company again, and the principal reason would be the great service which you personally provided to us."

June 2013 "...We really enjoyed our time at the villa, the location was perfect being so near to Panzano and the villa itself was lovely, very spacious (even for 6 people) and well equipped. Indeed I don’t think that the website pictures do it justice. The family were also very hospitable. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the villa or your company to friends. "

September 2012 "...The Capannina Dei Ramoli was absolutely fantastic! The photos on the website do not do it justice. More photos of the outside spaces need to be added, as it is much larger than it appears. It was a huge space, with beautiful bedrooms, lovely living areas, and the views were exceptional. The outdoor spaces were gorgeous, the property was manicured in a refreshing, natural way, allowing the lovely flowers popping out of the grass to serve as a sweet surprise to guests and the olive and almond trees were a delight as well. The pool was beautiful, although it was a little too cool to use when we were there in September, but the poolside and patios were very well kept, and we did enjoy sitting out in the evening or early mornings and enjoying a glass of wine or cup of coffee. The kitchen was very nicely appointed, not large, but typical accommodations. The drying rack for dishes up in the cupboard was quite handy, and we found everything we needed, although previous guests had put a few of the dishes in odd spots, so it took us a day or two to find some dinnerware and utensils. Being only three of us, myself, my brother and our father, we needed the three bedrooms, but didn't need an overly large dining table, but out of curiosity, one day we opened the table to it's full length, and it was massive! It could easily seat 14 people. A beautiful, antique table - I would have loved to take back home with me! It was nice to have the washing machine on sight, although with the cool nights, it took our clothes a few days to dry on the drying rack, (which incidentally needed a little repair work I believe.) A regular clothes line with clothes pins might have been handy to have, and there was not a working light in the area, which made it difficult to see as we were usually tossing in a load of laundry at night and had to use the car headlamps to light up the area. The location is perfect for day trips to all parts of Tuscany, and the little village of Panzano in Chianti was delightful, and we actually ended nearly every day there in Panzano, eating at one of several wonderful restaurants. The townspeople are very friendly and like most Italians, speak enough English to help you muddle through if you speak no or very little Italian. The travel from the villa to the town is definitely NOT a trip you would want to make on foot, as the driveway out of the property is a little steep, and it's a rather busy little bend of roadway leading into the town. It's not a far distance (a little over a 1/4 mile or 400 meters) but a little too treacherous for us. I suppose if you are very young and very quick, you might chance it, but there's not much room on the side of the road to walk. We only met our host on the day we arrived, and she met us and gave us a quick run-through of the house. She speaks very limited English, which is fine, as we speak even less Italian, but her daughter speaks very good English and was available by phone, (although we found it difficult to get up with any of them at the end of the week when we needed to make plans to leave the next day and get our deposit money back, but it all worked out in the end.) All in all, our visit to Italy was nearly perfect in every way, and our stay at Capannina dei Ramoli was a big part of our satisfaction. We highly recommend this villa and actually may even come back ourselves again in the not to distant future, we hope! One more note: This was our second stay at a villa we found on the Cottages to Castles website. The first being 6 years ago. We have been very pleased both times with not only the villas we chose, but also with the incredible, accommodating and helpful staff at Cottages to Castles. Kudos to you all! "

August 2012 "...i Sarah, I think the following captures our thoughts... "Beyond expectations. The villa proved delicious: both location and accommodation were delightful. The proximity to Solo Ciccia was also a benefit! And beyond the glorious scenery and culinary delight was Antonella. What a wonderfully hospitable woman. We needed to call on Antonella on two occasions - both, issues of our making - and she appeared in almost immediate fashion. We have no hesitation in recommending this to other travellers seeking heaven for a period. And one we are highly likely to return to...""

June 2011 "...The villa met our expectations in all respects. Our train to Florence was delayed by a strike and we arrived at Panzano later than the scheduled times but the owners were very accommodating. The villa was well fitted out and the grounds were tidy. The location, close to Panzano village, is excellent. Possibly the only negative comment we could make is that the oven had not been cleaned by the previous occupant(s), and obviously not checked by the owner, so we didn’t use it. Other than that, which is only a very minor matter, we had a great time at a very nice property. I would certainly recommend this property to friends. Regards, Paul De Bernardo"

June 2011 "...Dear Sarah Thanks for getting in touch. The villa was excellent and Panzano was a fantastic village to stay in. We had a gorgeous time and were very pleased that the holiday turned out well for all of us. Minor things were - our sheets and towels did not get changed at the end of week one (paperwork suggested that this would take place on two week holidays) and also, we had to ring Tony Lawson to contact Antonella because we were packed up and ready to leave by 10.00am and we couldn't get in touch with her. She was contacted eventually and came around 11.15. Had we known this, we would have been more leisurely with our packing (we later realised the villa was not let out that week therefore she probably was in no hurry). Antonella was lovely, however - so no harm done. She and others came rushing to help us on the Friday of week 1 when we had no water after a thunderstorm. We were very disappointed that our supposed apartments were cancelled, but realise we got a better villa because of it. Furthermore, whilst we had originally wanted to be at Castellina, we were VERY impressed by Panzano, and would certainly return. Air-conditioning would be a bonus (a luxury, I know). Thank-you, Sarah and Theresa for being so helpful and accommodating when our first booking was cancelled. Kind regards Doreen Lish"

August 2010 "...The quality of the villa itself was excellent and the website provided a very accurate description of the property. The introduction/handover of the property was handled very well and it was very clean upon our arrival, with no problems experienced either in terms of the building maintenance or any of the appliances. I also thought that the communication prior to the holiday was very good. The only comment for improvement was actually a positive one - pool towels were actually provided at this property, whereas I think the description suggested we take our own. Had we known this, we could have sneaked a couple of extra bottles of chianti into the suitcases going back in place of the beach towels!!"

July 2010 "...The villa fully lived up to our expectations. The position was splendid and the décor very pleasing and included everything we needed. We particularly enjoyed the magnificent pool and entertainment area. We took our daughter and her family on holiday and they said it was their best holiday ever."
